I have to agree with dimplz on this one Jenny. Why is it called “cheating” if it isn’t bad? Of course all of us have our own set of rules that we want to live by and mine are clearly that I expect my committed partner to be intimate with me, and only me. This includes emotional and physical intimacy. I think where people are surprised is that they never discuss these things with their intended partner before they truly commit to a relationship. When determining compatability, this is a big one. And I leave no room for ambiguence here either. I never access an “I don’t know” answer. You are either clear on the subject or you aren’t (for me). If we were to turn the tables and your partner cheats on you, how would this make you feel? I can only comment on how I would feel and I would be devastated because the trust that I had placed in my partner is now shattered. Questions will now always linger…”is she cheating again”…”do I believe her when she says it only happened once”…the mental anguish doesn’t easily end. So for me, I choose to be with someone for whom this would be out of the question.
