“Civilisation thanks you”. Oh trust me, I’m the one who’s thankful–for them!! And yes I don’t even like that they’re called ‘Betas’, almost like they’re second-best to Alphas. >:( I disagree.

Really? Well in my actual dating history, i almost-always dated Betas. The only 2 guys who loved me who i loved back, were Betas. With ‘Betas’, there aren’t those horrible experiences I’ve heard about from other women, I don’t have to wait looking at the phone wondering why he hardly calls, don’t have to wonder if he cares about me because he’s always showing his affection, don’t have to wait till Friday for him to ask me out for Saturday, and basically don’t have to deal with all that BS which undermines many modern women’s self-esteem.
Plus I think the hottest trait a man can have is great character. It’s not that all ‘alphas’ don’t have good character, but if they’re emotionally distant, it’s hard to discern their character so I won’t be interested.
Fortunately in those formative teen years, the TV shows I watched glorified the ‘Sensitive New Age Guys’–which is what I then mentally-termed such men, until I recently heard them called “Betas”. And my dad and most of my brothers are like that too, and I like their personalities. So I’ve had good impressions of such guys. It was a shocker when I grew up and realised many women apparently preferred those ‘alpha’ types. Although I feel indignant on behalf of the ‘Betas’, i can’t help thinking, more ‘Betas’ for me to choose from. ;)
